The Russell Academy has always prided itself in offering the best training to those wishing to prepare for a career as a specialist teacher of speech and drama. Our outstanding results show our commitment to our work and our passionate belief in the importance of fostering creativity in a safe and productive learning environment.
This is a part-time two year course that prepares students for the Associate Diploma in Year 1 and successful students have the option to take the Licentiate Diploma in Year 2.
Graduates are teaching throughout Ireland – either privately or in schools and educational establishments.
Our next course begins in September 2021 and will prepare students for the June 2022 examinations.
This course focuses on drama in education:
Areas of study include expert tuition in:
- Dramatic Literature and drama based classroom activities for all ages:
- Strategies for group teaching; class planning, motivation and encouragement:
- Teaching methods:
- Selection of appropriate material:
- Voice Production and Theory of Speech:
This is an extremely useful add-on for those already teaching at primary or secondary level.
